For students
Explore Australia’s biggest public infrastructure project through Sydney Metro’s education program - FastTracking the Future.
Our award-winning program provides authentic learning experiences linked to the planning, development, construction and operation of Sydney Metro, Australia’s first fully-automated rail network for schools near its City & Southwest, West and Western Sydney railway alignments.
The program is targeted at teachers so to get involved, ask your teacher to contact us at sydneymetroedu@transport.nsw.gov.au. The program has more than 150 classroom-ready resources including unit plans and lessons for Kindergarten to Year 10 students.
Students can also get involved by participating in our school holiday program (primary school-aged) or learn coding through Sydney Metro’s Fun with Robots incursion for Years 3 to 6. For Year 7 to 10 students, get a team together and join our school’s competition Metro Minds STEAM Challenge to meet our experts working on the project.
Students looking for resources and information on Sydney Metro? Don’t forget to check out Sydney Metro’s document library or go to YouTube and find the latest Sydney Metro videos on Transport for NSW’s YouTube channel.
