Working with industry has been a hallmark of Sydney Metro since 2011. Consultation has helped define and refine the projects.

Industry engagement has tested, refined and optimised Sydney Metro’s projects by harnessing industry expertise and world best practice.

Industry engagement has taken place in parallel with the community consultation process. It has included industry briefings and market sounding meetings with organisations from Australia and overseas.

This engagement process has maximised industry input at the early stages of our projects and helped develop and deliver outstanding transport products that put the needs of the customer first.

Coordinated industry engagement

As Sydney Metro moves forward, industry engagement will be coordinated, where appropriate, to cover both Sydney Metro West and Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport.

Sydney Metro will continue to work with industry to further refine its delivery strategies and design strategies and to inform its approach to the supply chain across all projects.
