Sydney Metro Central Site Tour

Eligibility

  1. Sydney Metro is offering team members(‘Staff’) an opportunity to attend Sydney Metro’s Central Site Tour (‘Site Tour). The tour will be held on Sunday 11 December 2022 (‘the Event’).
  2. Staff will have the opportunity to book tickets for a Site Tour during a timeslot specified by Sydney Metro.
  3. Staff may nominate three (3) additional visitors (‘Guest/s’) per team member to attend the Site Tour.
  4. By booking tickets and taking part in the Event, Staff and Guest/s agree to these terms and conditions.
  5. Access to the Site Tour is limited to Staff and Guest/s. Staff and Guests must provide photo identification prior to entry to the Site Tour.
  6. Tickets to the Site Tour are non-transferable.
  7. Staff and Guests warrants that they will not sell, trade or exchange their ticket to the Site Tour or otherwise advertise or use the Sydney Metro name or logo in respect of the Site Tour other than in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  8. Staff must supervise any Guest/s under 18 years old.
  9. Guest/s of Staff may not attend without the nominator Staff being present. Staff must ensure that Guest/s remain with the Staff nominator throughout the Site Tour.

Requirements for attendance of the Site tour

  1. A reference to ‘Visitor’ in these terms and conditions includes any Staff or Guest/s who attends the Site Tour. A reference to Visitor in these terms and conditions may also be a reference to other persons invited to attend the Site Tour by the Sydney Metro City and Southwest Project and Project Communications Teams, as defined by Sydney Metro.
  2. As a condition of entry to the Site Tour, each Visitor must be:
    1. Visitors must be suitably fit and able to participate in the Site Tour; and
    2. free of drugs and alcohol (Sydney Metro’s contractor at Sydney Metro’s Central Site(‘Contractor’) has a zero-tolerance drugs and alcohol policy on site and random tests may be conducted. Any individuals suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be denied entry to the Event, at Sydney Metro’s or the Contractor’s discretion).
  3. Each Visitor acknowledges and agrees:
    1. The Event will be held at a live construction site that is not yet open to the public.
    2. Entry to the Event is subject to the control of Sydney Metro and the Contractor. Entry to the Event may be limited, restricted, or denied at Sydney Metro’s or the Contractor’s absolute discretion.
  4. Sydney Metro reserves the right to change the date or time of the Site Tour, or to cancel the Site Tour in its absolute discretion. Should this occur, Sydney Metro will make reasonable attempts to notify Staff who have booked tickets. It is the responsibility of nominating Staff to notify any Guest/s.
  5. Sydney Metro is not liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death whatsoever suffered or sustained in connection with attendance of the Site Tour, or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of Sydney Metro or any person associated with Sydney Metro.  Each Visitor waives all rights to make a claim against Sydney Metro or any person associated with Sydney Metro, for any loss, cost, damage, expense, or for any other matter arising out of or in connection with the Site Tour.
  6. Visitors are responsible for their own transport to and from the Site Tour and car parking.  There will be no car parking available at the Event.
  7. Visitors are responsible for arriving at the Site Tour prior to their allocated timeslot. Sydney Metro recommends Visitors arrive 10 minutes prior to their allocated timeslot. Any Visitor that arrives after the allocated timeslot will be denied entry to the Event.
  8. Each Visitor agrees to attend a safety induction on the day of the Site Tour and sign a declaration in relation to the safety induction. Sydney Metro and the Contractor reserve the right to exclude any Visitor from the Site Tour who does not participate in the safety induction, does not comply with the requirements of the safety induction or who, in Sydney Metro’s or the Contractor’s discretion, should not be permitted onto the construction site for any other reason.
  9. Visitors must wear appropriate clothing for the Site Tour, including sturdy flat enclosed shoes with non-slip rubber soles (no open shoes or high heels), long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Visitors who do not wear appropriate clothing will be denied entry to the Event at Sydney Metro’s or the Contractor’s discretion.
  10. Visitors must at all times comply with the directions of Sydney Metro, the Contractor, or a representative of Sydney Metro or the Contractor when attending and participating in the Site Tour. Any failure by a Visitor to comply with the directions of Sydney Metro, the Contractor, or a representative will result in that Visitor being immediately removed from the Site Tour or denied entry to the Site Tour.
  11. Visitors must not interfere with any equipment attached to, or forming part of, the construction site or block or interfere with the operation of the train doors at the construction site. Visitors must not destroy or damage any part of the construction site.
  12. It is a condition of entry to the Site Tour that Visitors must present all bags for inspection upon entry to the Event. Visitors must not bring large bags (maximum 34cm (h) x 23cm (w) x 16cm (d)) to the Site Tour that may cause an obstruction in a confined space. Sydney Metro reserves the right to refuse access to any Visitor whose bag/s or personal belongings may cause an obstruction in a confined space.
  13. Visitors may not be permitted to bring certain personal belongings to the Site Tour if deemed unsuitable by Sydney Metro, the Contractor, or a representative of Sydney Metro or the Contractor. Sydney Metro takes no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal items.
  14. Each Visitor that attends the Site Tour gives Sydney Metro and/or Transport for NSW (‘TfNSW’) consent to film and take photos of the Visitor (‘the footage’) and to publish and distribute the footage (in whole or in part, and whether or not the Visitor is clearly identifiable in the footage) along with his/her name on Sydney Metro’s and TfNSW’s websites and social media accounts, on television, in print and electronic mainstream media, and in any other promotional materials, without any further reference or payment or other compensation to that Visitor.
  15. Sydney Metro will deal with any personal information that is collected from Visitors as part of registration for, and attendance of, the Event (‘Personal Information’) in accordance with the Information Protection Principles under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and Sydney Metro’s privacy policy, other than the matters agreed in clause 3 above.
  16. Personal Information will be:
    1. retained by Sydney Metro for the purposes of conducting the Site Tour;
    2. shared with relevant business units within Sydney Metro for purposes related to the Site Tour; and
    3. shared with third parties comprising sponsors and suppliers for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes, including, but not limited to, sending electronic messages to, or telephoning, the Visitor,

      but will not otherwise be released to third parties (subject to the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) and any other lawful reason for disclosure).
  17. Visitors who do not wish to provide Personal Information to Sydney Metro will not be able to attend the Site Tour.

By taking part in the Site Tour, each Visitor accepts these terms and conditions.
