The Bella Vista Pocket Park has officially opened, providing people in Sydney’s north west with a great new community space to enjoy while permanent developments around Sydney Metro’s new Bella Vista Station take shape.

The vibrant open space features new plants, street furniture, a covered area, and an immersive painted mural called Pink and Blue Oasis by artist Sam Songailo artwork.

Over the coming years, Landcom will be organising a range of activities and events at the Pocket Park including skateboard workshops, Sydney Youth Orchestras concerts, and fitness classes to name a few.

The Pocket Park is located next to Bella Vista Station and close to Sydney Metro’s new retailers including a gym, hairdresser, and real estate businesses.

This is the second temporary pocket park Sydney Metro and Landcom have delivered, with the first park in Tallawong welcoming thousands of community members while open from 2019 to 2021.

Community activities and events are a key part of the Sydney Metro Northwest Places program which strives to create a sense of community and belonging as places surrounding metro precincts evolve.

Sydney Metro has a role in creating vibrant new communities, enhancing existing places, delivering integrated station developments and acting as a catalyst for urban renewal.
